Terms of Service
Last updated: 21 July 2026
1. Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and JSRM Trading, registered in Trinidad and Tobago ("we", "us", "our"), for use of the CSEC Prep website and learning service (the "Service").
By creating an account, signing in, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy at /privacy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility and minors
The Service is intended for students preparing for CSEC examinations and others supporting their learning.
If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use.
A parent or guardian may create an account for a student, pay for subscriptions, and manage account settings. You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, pose a security risk, or are used for abuse or fraud.
4. Subscriptions and payments
Paid access to subjects is offered on a subscription basis. Prices and billing intervals are shown before checkout.
Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record (reseller) for online purchases. Paddle's checkout terms and privacy notice apply to payment processing. We do not store your full payment card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel through the Paddle customer portal or as described on the billing page. Cancellation stops future charges; access typically continues until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated at checkout.
Refunds are handled according to Paddle's policies and applicable law. Contact us via /contact-us if you believe a charge was made in error.
A parent or guardian may pay using their own email at checkout; the subscription is linked to the signed-in student account, not necessarily the payer's email.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Share account credentials or sell access to your account.
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute lesson content, questions, or materials except as permitted for personal study.
- Attempt to cheat, manipulate scores, or interfere with the Service or other users.
- Upload malware, spam, or unlawful content through forms or other channels.
- Reverse engineer or circumvent technical protections except where law expressly allows it.
- Use the Service in violation of applicable law.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including lessons, questions, branding, software, and design, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your own educational purposes while your account is in good standing. You may not resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the content.
7. Educational disclaimer
CSEC Prep is a study aid. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by CXC or any examination board. We do not guarantee examination results. Content is provided for educational purposes "as is".
8. User feedback
If you submit feedback, bug reports, or suggestions, you grant us a royalty-free license to use them to improve the Service without obligation to you.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred United States dollars (USD $100), except where law does not allow such limitations.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time where account deletion is offered in the app, or by contacting us.
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, legal requirements, or prolonged inactivity according to our account policies. Provisions that by nature should survive termination (including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Trinidad and Tobago, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Trinidad and Tobago have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service, except where mandatory consumer protection law in your country gives you the right to bring claims elsewhere.
